Position Essential Duties
- Works on multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Develops new business and manages existing business clients, including general contractors, architects, designers, owners, and end users.
- Takes ownership of projects from initial contact through completion, communicating with internal team members and leaders throughout the process.
- Ensures detailed and accurate work throughout the project, including reading blueprints and using estimating software.
- Works in both office and field environments, including on job sites.
- Possesses general business acumen, developing and implementing individual business, sales, and marketing plans.
- Visits ongoing projects daily to verify correct materials and methods, quality of installations, production rates, schedule progress, materials/equipment needed for upcoming work, and adherence to safety policies.
- Schedules and participates in pre-project planning meetings for large and/or complex projects, reviewing project scope, drawings, details, installation methods, production rates, schedule, phasing, etc., with appropriate personnel.
- Schedules and allocates daily manpower and other resources for all assigned projects to maintain required project schedules and maximize efficiency.
- Attends pre-bid meetings as needed, submits RFIs to General Contractors as required, reviews and understands project documents including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, construction schedules, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience preferred
- Experience in the construction or related industry preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking, time management, organization, attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills
- Drive new business and build relationships with general contractors, architects, designers, owners, end users, and internal team members
- Maintain labor relations
- Professional appearance and disposition
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
- Ability to identify and correct conditions affecting employee safety
- Ability to prioritize customer needs while adhering to company procedures
