Product Specialist 2 - Onsite

About the role

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking an experienced Product Specialist 2 to support the Health Inspection Program. This role is ideal for a technology professional with strong application support, product management, or business systems experience, preferably within a healthcare or public health environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance applications used by the Health Inspection Program.
• Analyze business processes and system requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage and improve product functionality.
• Navigate and interpret large volumes of program and system information.
• Provide guidance on system capabilities, enhancements, and process improvements.
• Work closely with technical and business teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
• Affiliate with troubleshooting, testing, implementation, and ongoing system support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience as a Product Specialist, Business Analyst, Application Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
• Strong ability to learn and manage complex systems containing significant amounts of information and data.
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into functional solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Healthcare, public health, regulatory, inspection, or Human Services experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience working in government environments is a plus.
