About the role
The Product Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and onboarding domestic and global suppliers that deliver high-quality, cost-effective products to drive competitive advantage. This role manages complex, SKU-intensive product categories and develops sourcing strategies that improve supplier performance, cost efficiency, and supply chain resiliency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies aligned to cost, quality, and supply continuity goals
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard domestic and global suppliers, including contract manufacturers
- Lead sourcing events (RFP/RFQ) in partnership with Product Development and Analytics teams
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers to optimize value
- Manage supplier relationships and hold vendors accountable for performance, quality, and service levels
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier communication, including escalation and issue resolution
- Lead joint business planning and ongoing strategic supplier discussions
- Drive supplier diversification strategies, including geographic and country-of-origin considerations to improve supply chain resilience
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve quality, cost, or supply issues and ensure high service levels
- Proactively identify new supplier opportunities and monitor market trends, cost drivers, and supplier capabilities
- Support category strategy by analyzing competitive landscape and informing sourcing decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically requires 4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or supply chain
- Experience managing supplier/vendor relationships and supporting sourcing initiatives
- Experience participating in or leading RFP/RFQ processes and contract negotiations
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product, category, or supply chain teams
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Experience sourcing finished goods or working with global contract manufacturers
- Experience managing SKU-intensive product categories
- Knowledge of category management and strategic sourcing frameworks
- Experience in healthcare, medical devices, consumer goods, or private label products
- Strong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder influence skills
- Experience analyzing supplier markets, cost drivers, and competitive dynamics
- Experience navigating national brand and private label sourcing strategies
