Product Security Engineer 4 (contract)
About the Role
The Boeing Product Security Anti-Tamper Team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is seeking a Career/Expert Software Engineer to support the Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) division. This contract assignment involves developing industry-leading software, hardware, and systems solutions, integrating new architectures, and implementing key security and control features using Boeing-designed and COTS hardware/software. The position is 100% onsite and may require up to 10% travel.
This role requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance post-start, for which US Citizenship is required. Candidates must also be eligible and willing to obtain additional security clearances.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of documents and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
- Be accountable to program engineering leads for day-to-day task activities, accomplishments, issues, and concerns.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Work independently and effectively with external customers and subcontractors in a multi-site, multi-discipline program environment.
- Lead software architecture and development efforts for key computing assets embedded in advanced Boeing defense platforms.
- Develop and maintain hardware and software-based product security solutions to protect critical military information and technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications.
- 5+ years of experience in software development or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software development for avionics or real-time embedded systems/firmware design using C/C++, Ada, and/or Java.
- Ability to develop code for usability, readability, and maintainability.
- Experience in Ada coding for safety-critical systems.
- Experience with embedded software in C/C++.
Preferred Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in software development or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in avionics or real-time embedded systems/firmware design using C/C++, Ada, and/or Java.
- 1+ years of experience with lifecycle configuration management tools (e.g., GitLab) and Agile tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience in technical leadership with collaboration across multiple teams and locations in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a DevSecOps environment.
- Experience with cryptography and other security protocols.
- Working knowledge in cybersecurity, secure computing, and/or anti-tamper.
- Experience in Python for automation.
- Experience in unit testing.
- Knowledge of cryptography.
- Active security clearance.
Pay
Pay rate range: $108–$113 USD hourly.
