Responsibilities
- Create and maintain business relationship with all Ditch Witch dealers and help train and promote sales of Ditch Witch products to all customers.
- Aid Regional Managers in planning and conducting sales training programs, including equipment demonstration, equipment shows, dealership training events and customer delivered training events.
- Demonstrate Ditch Witch equipment. This includes choosing suitable demonstration sites, setting up equipment, operating equipment, locating existing utilities and explaining the features and benefits.
- Troubleshoot problems with heavy construction equipment. This includes monitoring the equipment’s performance during operation, running systems test, diagnosing problems and correcting problems.
- Maintain positive professional relationships with dealers, customers and Ditch Witch factory personnel.
- Make presentations to groups of people. This includes gathering, organizing and effectively communicating technical information about technical systems.
- Exhibit organizational skills, leadership, technical knowledge and safety.
- Will spend the majority of their time learning product, developing curriculum to be used to train, answering questions on the phone pertaining to product, attending different training schools to assist in both the teaching and learning of Ditch Witch products and systems.
Requirements
- A High School or GED equivalent required.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience (Product Sales Support II) or a minimum of 5-9+ years of experience (Product Sales Support III) in the training field.
- Training and experience in sales and marketing and a very high level of technical expertise related to our product line or the underground industry is preferred.
- Upon training, be able to operate and effectively demonstrate heavy construction equipment. This includes work in “the field” or in “dynamic/active” construction site conditions.
- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skill in demonstrating and selling Ditch Witch products.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills. This includes the ability to present technical information to groups and individuals.
- Have appropriate correspondence, record keeping and computer/ information Technology and enterprising skill sets.
- Maintain a current vehicle operator’s license and prepare to acquire a CDL.
- Be willing to conduct work travel 50% of the time.

- He or she will be given the opportunity to travel with more seasoned Regional Managers and Level II and II Sales and Training Specialist.

- Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $75,000 - $100,000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance. Eligibility and award amounts are determined by company policy and performance metrics.
