About the role
As a Product Sales Specialist at Igus Inc., you will be the customer-facing role in supporting our mission “Improve what moves- Tech Up Cost Down”. This position is responsible for the creation and management of sales opportunities within North America, with a strong emphasis on sales growth and new business development.
Responsibilities
- Actively prospect and develop new customers, applications, and market opportunities through leads, digital platforms, and research
- Conduct technical sales visits with customers to find “tech up cost down” solutions
- Generate sales and deliver exceptional customer experience and service
- Serve as the go-to expert for product features, benefits, competitive positioning, and use cases
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, understand customer needs, and tailor solutions accordingly
- Develop and maintain a technical understanding of the product lines to communicate quickly and effectively to customers and prospects
- Coordinate and conduct sales campaigns
- Train the local sales teams
- Coordinate timelines, resources, and communication for all stakeholders involved
- Ensure that databases are current and updated with accurate information
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and technical documentation to customers
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize lead generation and conversion strategies
- Develop sales materials, presentations, and value-based messaging
- Assist in developing sales strategies and proposals to increase win rates
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends to provide innovative solutions and find opportunities for new product development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry or in a technical field
- A high level of technical and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal relations and strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- High sense of urgency with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, anticipating and adjusting to challenges
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Up to 25% travel
