Product Sales Engineer / Specialist
About the role
The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, curious, persistent and comfortable working independently in a growth-focused role. This role is based out of our headquarters (Danielson, CT) and is 100% on site.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and profit growth for the assigned product line by identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute the annual business development plans that define target markets, applications, customers, growth objectives and strategies.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, industry resources, trade shows, referrals, digital tools and direct customer engagement.
- Partner with the regional sales teams to develop and execute target customer penetration plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude required.
- 5-7 years of experience in sales, business development, application engineering, or a related customer-facing role.
- Experience with technical products sold into engineered assemblies, manufacturing applications or similar industrial environments preferred.
- Strong analytical, technical, strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency using CRM systems to document activities, manage opportunities, and track progress.
