Position Responsibilities
- Maintains the following: Aircraft seats and canopy ejection systems, Gaseous O2, fire extinguishing, air conditioning, cockpit heat, pressurization and ventilation
- Remove and install Oxygen system valves, gauges, converters and regulators.
- Remove, install, inspect and rig ejection seats, Cartridge Actuation Devices (CADS), shoulder harnesses and lap belts.
- Perform Daily, pre and post flight and periodic aircraft inspections.
- Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
- Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
- Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
- Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
- Oversees training.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years aviation maintenance experience in egress, survival equipment, and/ or related aircraft systems
- Experience installing/removing F-18 ejection seats
- Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform maintenance tasks in confined spaces or elevated positions
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- Fighter Structural modification experience
- Ability to safely handle explosive devices and hazardous components
- Fighter Electrical modification experience
