About the Role

This is a contract assignment through a Boeing-approved third-party vendor for the duration of a specified project.

Responsibilities

  • Perform flight controls installation, removal, and rigging.
  • Service landing gear and aircraft.
  • Conduct essential component change-outs (e.g., servo pumps, filters, engine components).
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements for structural modification/repair.
  • Access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate online parts and discrepancy requests.
  • Maintain required certifications, licenses, and permits for assigned work.
  • Prioritize workload to meet project schedules.
  • Apply Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag systems to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use equipment in accordance with established safety and operating procedures.
  • Assist team members (Avionics, Structures, Electrics) to meet cost and schedule targets.
  • Diagnose and correct malfunctions in assembly processes.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools to verify dimensions and quality conformance.
  • Pass an assessment during the training cycle.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Depot Level/Heavy General maintenance.
  • 4+ years of experience working on aircraft exterior and interior systems, including hydraulic, flight control, monuments, landing gears, fuel systems, and engines.
  • 4+ years of experience working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to access aircraft data via computer systems.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and adapt to changing schedules to support mission requirements.
  • Ability to work both scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing aircraft engine runs and engine borescope inspections.
  • Experience operating an aircraft tug/tow vehicle, forklift, mobile crane, and riding-type electric-powered elevating equipment.
  • Experience with REDARS and/or Gold-ESP systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to ascend and descend vertical work ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Capability to lift loads of approximately 35 pounds; occasional two-person lifts for weights over 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to noise and working on elevated platforms.
  • Use of personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hands, and arms as required.
  • Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
  • Ability to handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Obtain and maintain training certifications as required.
  • Occasional (1–3 hrs) finger manipulation.
  • Frequent reaching overhead (3–6 hrs).
  • Frequent walking on flat surfaces and standing on flat or uneven surfaces.
  • Frequent balancing on ladders, steps, or uneven surfaces; occasional climbing on 3–12 ft ladders or stands.
  • Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bending/stooping, lying down, and operating foot controls for extended periods.
  • Occasional contact with metals.
  • Frequent exposure to noise.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Pay

$28 – $33 USD hourly.
