Product Owner - Software Development

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• Prioritize and validate the development of software for the TIS team.
• Identify and classify tracks in the C2 (Command and Control) software.
• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, and provide guidance to the development team.
• Work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint.
• Include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on the status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts on the mission.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics required.
• Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience required.
• Fully fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
• Must have understanding of CID (Classification, Identification, and Discrimination) used in C2 systems, including IFF, ADS-B, Air Tasking Orders, and NCTR.
• Must have the ability to provide oversight to the development team and verify the team's work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews.
• Must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiarity with current CID measures in one or more of the DoD services.
• Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team.
