About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated product owner to influence, define, and execute the digital roadmap for E*TRADE Trading & Investing, focusing on the markets and research offering, including cryptocurrency. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the markets, a demonstrated interest in product management, preferably in financial services, and strong domain knowledge of trading and investing products.

Responsibilities

  • Write user stories, maintain an Agile backlog, and assist with sprint planning, testing, and releases for the E*TRADE and MS Online websites.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, technology, and third-party vendors.
  • Champion the online markets and research experience for E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley and Wealth Management clients across platforms.
  • Identify opportunities for feature enhancements and projects, execute against the strategic roadmap, and ensure UX is free of friction or issues.
  • Forge continued integration and feature delivery aligning with key research stakeholders in Wealth Management and Investment Services Group (ISG).
  • Lead all day-to-day operations and support activities, including issue escalation, managing client feedback, backlog grooming and prioritization, troubleshooting, release management, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including UX & Design, Technology, QA, Service, Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and third-party vendors.
  • Resolve client-facing issues or concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Prepare presentations to communicate ideas, gain stakeholder approvals, report project statuses, and measure & track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, creating user stories and epics with detailed acceptance criteria for feature development, and support for production issues and resolution.
  • Participate and lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Manage competing priorities and initiatives/parallel work tracks.
  • Manage awareness of industry trends, compliance concerns, risk control processes, and regulatory landscape.
  • Acquire a robust understanding of E*TRADE products, services, processes, and organizational structure to find optimal solutions and achieve rapid execution of key initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of agile product management experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst, owning and delivering enterprise-scale digital products within a financial regulatory environment.
  • Direct experience working with multiple key stakeholders in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in analyzing user feedback, backlog grooming and prioritization, pilot testing and rollout strategy, communication plans, overall product support, and driving technology adoption strategies.

Skills

  • Prior experience related to markets, equities research, and cryptocurrency trading preferred.
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools for efficiency and completing tasks.
  • Understanding of competitive and regulatory environments for online brokerages (web, mobile, desktop app).
  • Effective and thoughtful communication to a wide range of stakeholders (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Self-starter with curiosity and desire to dig into and understand details.
  • Comfortable gathering and utilizing data analytics, usage, and internal and external feedback to inform decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and initiatives/parallel work tracks.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Asana as product/project management tools.
  • Additional product or project management certifications a plus.
  • Knowledge of E*TRADE products, services, & systems a plus.

Pay

Base pay for the role will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
