About the role

The Product Operations and Implementation Manager plays a crucial role in the Product Operations and Implementation team at Fidelity. Reporting to the Manager, Product Operations and Implementation, this position involves project management for product launches and events across various FIC businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Solutions/Development & Operations to plot out the roadmap and assess feasibility of meeting target timelines
  • Maintain the Product Roadmap and provide updates to key business partners at FIC, FFIO, GPS, FTO, Legal, State Street, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a calendar for project initiation deliverables (product details & approvals, completing product intake, meeting with key business partners, project planning, etc.)
  • Work with Global Product Solutions to plan for upcoming projects or product ideas
  • Communicate and project resourcing with the PGO and IS Managers to plan for upcoming projects and resource requirements, quarter-by-quarter and ahead of annual business planning
  • Collaborate with other business partners (Legal, Regulatory Reporting, FTO, Compliance, FFIO, etc.) to plan for upcoming projects and key considerations
  • Oversee Product initiatives and/or Fund Events that require project management expertise but where either a PGO project manager is not explicitly required (e.g. ETF exchange migration, ETF names changes, clearing broker onboarding etc.) or a PGO project manager is not available to assist
  • Assist with the management of the schedule, deliverables, risks, issues, in workstreams managed within the Product department
  • Project Feasibility Administration and Post Implementation Analysis
  • Product Solutions/Development & Operations to conduct a gap-analysis and determine the net-new requirements and their estimated timelines
  • Product Solutions/Development & Operations to assess feasibility of meeting target dates and to develop a high-level project schedule
  • Product Operations to develop and manage the plan to implement new and existing requirements (if not directly managed by PGO)
  • Global Product Solutions to complete the PAC process/intake and plan for key considerations brought forward by that group
  • The Project Governance Office and IS Managers to complete intake, and assist with determining project scope & size, resource requirements and effort, overall project timing & schedule, known risks, constraints and/or issues, and the ongoing management of the project life cycle, project risks & issues, etc.
  • Legal, Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, FTO, etc. (alongside Product Operations) to plan for key considerations, milestones and deliverables
  • Post-project review debrief and recommendations with Product Development/Solutions & Product Operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of mutual fund/investment industry and project management experience of which a minimum 2 years with a focus on mutual fund operations or product development
  • University degree, or equivalent work experience
  • PMP designation is an asset
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with Fidelity groups around the globe
  • Exceptional communicator who can leverage data to identify themes, build a narrative and secure buy-in from senior management
  • Ability to provide strategic direction and coaching across multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, changing focus and priorities as needed
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors to ensure that all compliance and regulatory requirements are maintained
  • Strong project management skills with an emphasis on bringing together multiple stakeholders and driving towards a common goal under specified timelines

Benefits

Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: A competitive annual range of $115,000 to $133,000 based on your experience and qualifications.
