About the role

At AWS, we're seeking a Product Marketing Manager who can shape the future of cloud storage and data. This role requires a unique blend of technologist and business strategist who can dive deep into technical data architecture while crafting portfolio-level value propositions that resonate with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product management and GTM teams to develop portfolio-level strategy documents and guide AWS storage service prioritization
  • Create and own positioning and messaging that clearly articulates value propositions to customers
  • Analyze and synthesize market data from multiple sources (including direct customer feedback) to identify product opportunities and shape portfolio strategy
  • Lead product launch strategies and associated plans, including naming, target audience definition, and marketing vehicles
  • Develop technical content including presentations, demonstrations, and reference architectures that educate customers on AWS storage and data offerings
  • Represent AWS as a technical evangelist in executive briefings, industry events, and analyst interactions
  • Drive field enablement strategies to support product launches, campaigns, and customer success
  • Align with technical and business leaders on primary cloud storage and data use cases for their specific ideal customer profiles; define best practice architecture and services for each use case

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or experience in technology related sales, business development or equivalent
  • Experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
  • 3+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Experience in product marketing for cloud infrastructure, analytics, storage, or data lake products or solutions

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or experience in technology related sales, business development or equivalent; 3+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience; Experience in product marketing for cloud infrastructure, analytics, storage, or data lake products or solutions
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment; Experience working with engineering and product teams to define a product and bring it to market; Experience working with storage, data, or infrastructure technologies, including, but not limited to, object storage, block storage, file systems, data lakes, backup and disaster recovery, and/or data migration
