Product Marketing Manager, Google Kubernetes Engine
About the role
Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more.
In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end. Whether you're working on our core infrastructure platforms (like Google Cloud Platform, Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine) or developer and enterprise tools (like Firebase, BigQuery, and Anthos), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization, and developer communications, you help shape the product and drive adoption across startups and global enterprises alike. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Enterprise Sales, developer relations, legal, product management, engineering, and solutions architecture. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end go-to-market plans for GKE, defining audiences from AI startups to enterprises, creating messaging for AI workloads, and aligning launch activities cross-functionally.
- Maintain operational rhythm with product management to stay aligned on the technical roadmap, integrate TAM research, and deliver technical marketing enablement for the sales force.
- Create impactful message houses translating GKE capabilities into business value, and own external content like website updates, blogs, and thought leadership campaigns.
- Implement marketing campaigns to drive adoption and feature usage, focus on bottoms-up technical community engagement, and assist senior leadership with analyst briefings.
- Build cross-functional consensus on launch tactics and strategic pivots within biweekly rhythms, while managing budgets, vendor relationships, and policy compliance.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of experience in marketing or technical fields (i.e. product marketing, technical marketing, sales engineer, customer engineer, product manager, outbound product manager).
Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in the cloud infrastructure space, particularly with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and AI/ML compute workloads.
- Experience utilizing AI productivity tools to solve complex, multi-layered problems and streamline business or development workflows.
- Strong emotional intelligence to manage product vs. sales dynamics and influence without direct authority.

Pay
US: $141000 - $206000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
