About the role
InRule is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to enable InRule's next wave of growth. This is a critical role as a subject matter expert for all InRule products. You will collaborate on go-to-market strategies to drive growth and execute many of their details. You will develop a messaging system that guides multi-media storytelling, own competitive positioning against named competitors, and lead product launches end to end.
What you'll do
- Create go-to-market programs that align with quantified opportunities in the market to grow pipeline
- Own the product launch process end to end: tiering, timing, sales/support readiness, and post-launch measurement
- Create a modular, built-for-scale messaging system used to produce sales enablement materials, case studies, presentations, blogs, whitepapers, webinars, guides, and videos
- Continually improve customer-facing stories by measuring how well they help customers, using quant and qual testing
- Partner with demand-gen teams to create campaigns and nurture programs
- Build, maintain, and automate competitive intelligence used by sales: battlecards, win/loss analysis, and positioning against named competitors
- Own the analyst relations calendar: briefings, inquiries, and award/ranking submissions with firms like Gartner and Forrester
- Continuously improve go-to-market systems and product positioning based on market data
- Take the time to make your writing and programs simple for co-workers and customers
- Provide input on pricing and packaging, partnering with Product and Sales leadership on tiering decisions
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience with product marketing
- 5+ years in B2B software
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration
- Champion of clear, evidence-based competitive positioning
- Economical with time and clear with opinions, thinking, and communicating
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative research
- Adept at communicating technical topics to any audience
- Accomplished writer who can originate voice and tone systems and write content
- Analytical thinker who can identify patterns and make evidence-based decisions
- Comfortable owning a launch calendar end-to-end and driving it cross-functionally without heavy oversight
- Experience running analyst relations with firms like Gartner and Forrester
- Comfortable using AI tools to automate marketing workflows
The pay range for this role is:
140,000 - 180,000 USD per year (InRule Chicago)
