About the role
The Brick is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accessibility Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web accessibility standards and practices, and be passionate about improving digital experiences for all users.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve the accessibility of The Brick’s website and digital products
- Conduct user testing and gather feedback on accessibility issues
- Develop and implement accessibility guidelines and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility is integrated throughout the product development lifecycle
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web accessibility standards and technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Information Technology, or related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in web accessibility
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and other relevant accessibility guidelines
- Experience with automated and manual accessibility testing tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with screen readers and assistive technologies
- Understanding of web development frameworks and platforms
