About the role

The Brick is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accessibility Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web accessibility standards and practices, and be passionate about improving digital experiences for all users.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and improve the accessibility of The Brick’s website and digital products
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback on accessibility issues
  • Develop and implement accessibility guidelines and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility is integrated throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web accessibility standards and technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in web accessibility
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and other relevant accessibility guidelines
  • Experience with automated and manual accessibility testing tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with screen readers and assistive technologies
  • Understanding of web development frameworks and platforms
