About the role

At Texas Instruments (TI), our customers are at the core of everything we do, and our Product Marketing Engineers are key participants in this engagement. In this role, you will use your technical background to identify ways to grow, attract and engage customers with broad and targeted promotions. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of analog and digital markets, applications, and customers while promoting TI's wide product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market studies for the products you are supporting
  • Provide product training for the sales channels
  • Analyze revenue associated with key parts within your products groups
  • Provide forecast information by product family
  • Conduct analysis of the web presence for your products to enable customers better interface with TI
  • Participate in new product launch activities and ensure customers and the worldwide sales force are aware of new product introductions for the products assigned
  • Work closely with development and business teams to evaluate product development strategies and market development needs
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the products in the market, including finding adjacent markets and customers
  • Plan, manage and execute all marketing activities during the life cycle of a new product (Pre RTM, at RTM and post RTM)
  • Review competitive landscape and build strategies to address gaps
  • Interface with customers and TI field sales/applications to support DINs
  • Follow up weekly and monthly on opportunities; from price escalations, customer visits, sampling activity, etc.
  • Collaborate and communicate the product strategies effectively to cross-functional teams - price, campaigns, internet marketing, launch, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
  • Preferred Qualifications: Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally, Strong verbal and written communication skills, Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills, Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions, Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
