Job Duties
- Provides technical and people leadership
- Designs, codes, tests, troubleshoots, or documents engineering systems applications
- Costs technical solutions and staffs project teams
- Frequently collaborates with stakeholders for on-time, on-schedule, on-scope delivery
- Fills technological and functional requirements
- Trains and provides expert technical guidance to technical staff
- Manages multiple development teams and outside consultants
- Coordinates project design and milestone reviews
- Implements tactical action plans according to department goals
- Ensures technical solutions and associated procedures meet governance standards
- Incorporates reliability analysis and promotes optimal use of development tools and standards
- Assists in determining opportunities for re-use of technical components and reduced duplication
- Maintains development expertise through performing development tasks
Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geoscience, or similar discipline
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience, including software development
