About the role
This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we're developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin’s mission. The role involves architecting Blue Origin's next generation of machine and robot integration platform, ensuring seamless command execution and data flow from planning systems to machines.
Responsibilities
- Develop a multi-year product vision that shapes company objectives, secures executive buy-in, and enables Blue Origin to meet our ambitious goals for production and launch.
- Develop and manage a 12-18-month plan spanning technology areas, aligning resources, milestones, and mitigation paths while resolving cross-business conflicts.
- Influence & Execution: Drive decisions with leaders of core business functions and top executives at Blue Origin. Align resources across the company to deliver on goals.
- Customer-Backed Innovation: Deploy iterative prototyping, testing, and scaling to deliver simple, high-value solutions to complex problems, continuously validated by broad customer feedback and data.
- Strategic Technical Leadership: Influence technical decisions and end-state architectures for entire domains, evaluating emerging technologies for durable business value.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Define and implement metrics and frameworks to guide investments and measure success of product launches. Communicate insights crisply to leadership.
- Release & Change Management at Scale: Lead strategic risk mitigation and readiness activities to ensure smooth roll-outs and measurable impact across multiple organizations.
- Continuous Improvement & Tooling Innovation: Utilize AI to increase the velocity of deliverables, boost productivity, and codify best practices company-wide.
- Stakeholder Communication Excellence: Produce high-impact narratives and reviews that drive key decisions and keep executives aligned on progress, risks, and next steps.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: Hands-on experience with factory automation systems, machine and robot integration, or manufacturing operations in aerospace, automotive, medical devices or a similarly complex manufacturing industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of product management experience, or a combination of product management and hands-on experience in factory automation and manufacturing operations.
- Agile/Scrum/Lean Expertise: Strong experience with Lean, Agile, and Scrum methodologies, and proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence. Demonstrated ability to lead agile development processes and leverage AI to accelerate delivery and team productivity.
- Technical Acumen: Experience working closely with UX design and software engineering teams. Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, make trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to leverage data for decision-making and product prioritization.
- AI & Emerging Technology Fluency: Demonstrated ability to adopt and utilize AI tools and evolving technologies to prototype, iterate, and ship features with speed and quality.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Customer-Centric: Strong customer empathy and a passion for building products that deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Pay
Base Pay Range For WA applicants is $197,849.00 - $276,987.90 Other Site Ranges May Differ
