Responsible for delivering business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction through the production of quality data products. Focuses on incremental value within an enterprise product line by driving product changes and collaborating closely with developers, data engineers, and business partners. Supports in-depth business reviews, communicates across all organizational levels, and supports cross-functional product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning (40%)
    • Understand customer and associate needs to deliver enterprise products that provide an unparalleled shopping experience.
    • Translate business goals and user needs into product strategy; communicate direction and priorities to development teams and partners.
    • Identify goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value; refine the product backlog based on insights.
    • Conduct end-user research to identify user stories and determine Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
    • Partner with Finance to understand financial needs and assist in creating business plans for new opportunities.
    • Monitor competitive landscape and industry innovations to recommend best-in-class solutions.
  • Delivery & Execution (30%)
    • Ensure product alignment with company, stakeholder, and end-user priorities to drive sales and improve satisfaction.
    • Document, review, and ensure quality and change control standards are met.
    • Formulate, test, and refine assumptions through user research and testing.
    • Create, prioritize, and accept user stories; incorporate them into release planning.
    • Make daily product decisions that drive value.
    • Identify pros, cons, issues, dependencies, and value of features and enhancements.
    • Participate in standups, iteration planning, product demos, and retrospectives.
    • Condense complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders.
  • People (30%)
    • Foster collaboration with team members (Engineering, UX Designers, etc.) to drive value and resolve impediments.
    • Advocate for modern software development practices and end-user needs.
    • Become a domain expert by empathizing with and understanding user needs.
    • Continuously assess progress with the product team and disseminate lessons learned.
    • Manage cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute product strategy.
    • Exhibit active listening, facilitate sessions, and clearly communicate product strategy at all levels.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualifications
    • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
    • Experience as a Product Manager in a modern software development environment.
    • Experience owning data or analytics products from intake through adoption and measurement.
    • Experience designing and evaluating experiments, pilots, or A/B tests.
    • Familiarity with structured user research and feedback synthesis.
    • Experience with prioritization frameworks and data-driven roadmap planning.
    • Experience managing AI and machine learning–enabled products.
    • Demonstrated experience with agile methodologies, including XP principles (paired programming, test-driven development, continuous deployment).
    • Experience in fast-paced, fluid environments where priorities shift regularly.
    • Experience communicating with and influencing team members at all organizational levels.
    • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
    • Experience creating, prioritizing, and accepting user stories.
    • Experience conducting user research and testing to understand needs.
    • Experience identifying goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product value.
    • Experience conducting competitive research and analysis.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Work Experience
    • Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
  • Leadership Experience
    • None required.
