Product Manager – Salesforce
About the role
The Salesforce Product Manager at McGough is responsible for owning the Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring it drives measurable business outcomes across marketing, business development, and client relationship management. This role partners closely with IT, Information Services, and Marketing Data Analysts to define, deliver, and continuously improve Salesforce capabilities that align with business goals.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Define and maintain the Salesforce platform roadmap, in partnership with Program Managers/Contractors responsible for delivery execution
- Surface cross-platform tradeoffs and dependencies to domain leadership when platform-level decisions impact broader business outcomes
- Partner with Product Owners, IT, and Business Leaders to establish program goals, deliverables, and KPIs
- Lead operational readiness and change enablement for new digital tools and enhancements
- Surface Salesforce-related dependencies, risks, and impacts to Program Managers and Digital Operations leadership
- Track program progress through defined metrics (adoption, usage, quality, and satisfaction)
- Establish platform KPIs and success metrics tied to adoption, data quality, and business outcomes
- Manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure accountability to scope and SOWs
- Partner with domain-level leadership to ensure platform roadmap decisions support coherent, end-to-end business capabilities
- Partner with Digital Operations Leadership to ensure Salesforce initiatives align with McGough’s overall application ecosystem
- Design, Develop and deliver training programs or identify contract needs to support office hours and self-service learning paths for employees of all levels
- Track progress, risks, and changes through training and onboarding phases; communicate updates to leadership
- Serve as a business escalation point for Salesforce-related tradeoffs impacting scope, adoption or outcomes
- Define what successful Salesforce usage looks like across user groups (Sales, Business Development, Project PMs)
- Design and personally deliver targeted training sessions for core user groups and power users
- Develop lightweight enablement materials, playbooks, and usage guidance aligned to business processes
- Reinforce expected behaviors and workflows through training, communication, and ongoing engagement
- Partner with business stakeholders, Program Managers, BAs, and IT to identify adoption gaps and adjust enablement accordingly
- Partner with other Product Managers, Business Analysts and Application Specialists to identify technical/business gaps and adjust accordingly
- Champion Salesforce-specific delivery and documentation standards in partnership with IT and Program Management
- Partner with Digital Operations Leadership to align with McGough’s enterprise governance model
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve Salesforce delivery and enablement effectiveness
- Collaborate with vendors and delivery partners to ensure solutions align with business needs and enablement goals
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in digital product management, CRM ownership, or enterprise application strategy
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to define and deliver digital tools that align with business needs
- Demonstrated success in building and managing a business-focused roadmap for enterprise platforms that align to broader business capabilities and adjacent systems
- Experience partnering with IT and Deployment Program Managers to define scope, success metrics, and delivery milestones
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational influence skills

- Strategic product thinking paired with strong execution discipline
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills; able to drive clarity and accountability in complex initiatives
- Comfortable managing ambiguity, prioritization, and change across competing priorities
- Comfortable designing and/or delivering hands-on training and/or establishing training programs
- Strong analytical capability—able to define, track, and communicate performance metrics
- Systems-oriented thinking, with awareness of cross-platform dependencies and downstream impacts
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.)
- Clear, confident communicator with executive presence and attention to detail
Office and Travel
Position is based at McGough’s headquarters in Roseville, MN. Travel is expected to be up to 25% consisting of trips to McGough’s various offices for training or team building activities. Additional travel to various national office locations may be required as determined by the individual and their manager.
Pay
In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $138,000 to $163,000, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.
