About the Team

The USDS-Platform and Community Integrity (PaCI) team is missioned to:

  • Protect U.S. TikTok users, including and beyond content consumers, creators, advertisers;
  • Secure platform health and community experience authenticity;
  • Build infrastructures, platforms and technologies, as well as collaborate with many cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The PaCI team works to minimize the damage of inauthentic behaviors on TikTok platforms, covering multiple classical and novel community and business risk areas such as account integrity, engagement authenticity, anti-spam, API abuse, growth fraud, live streaming security and financial safety, etc.

In this team, you'll have a unique opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the company's strategy in key security initiatives, especially in building scalable and robust, intelligent and privacy-safe, secure, and product-friendly systems and solutions. Our challenges are not regular day-to-day technical puzzles—you'll be part of a team developing novel solutions to first-seen challenges in a continuously evolving product ecosystem. The work needs to be fast, transferable, and grounded to make quick, solid differences.

Responsibilities

  • Build risk control policies and processes, promote transparency, and educate internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance;
  • Assist in constructing and optimizing internal platforms and tools, and drive their adoption;
  • Develop user education programs to enhance security awareness.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence and reach agreements with others;
  • Ability to maintain composure in critical situations and communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Details-oriented, self-driven, and curious to learn and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, ideally in the Risk domain;
  • Experience designing key metrics (KRI/KPI) and frameworks for risk functions, performing risk assessments, and developing risk control strategies;
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional and engineering teams to develop solutions and communicate results effectively;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience performing root cause analysis.

Pay

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $156,864 – $296,020 annually. Compensation may vary outside this range depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package, which may include additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
