Amazon · Seattle, WA · Today
MarketingFull-time

About the role

The individual selected for this position will own the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery of RMI's survey measurement platform — the system that determines how hundreds of millions of dollars in reputation marketing investment are defined, measured, and optimized. The work will challenge you to be resourceful, think big while staying connected to the details, translate complex research requirements into scalable technical solutions, and embrace a high degree of change and ambiguity at speed. The scope and scale of what we strive to achieve is immense, but it is also meaningful and energizing.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define the product and technology strategy for the team's measurement capability.
  • Own the full lifecycle of survey-based measurement products — from audience definition and instrument design through data integration, analysis infrastructure, and stakeholder-facing outputs.
  • Define product strategy, methodology, technology approach, and vendor relationships independently with limited guidance.
  • Work with media, data science, public policy, and creative teams — as well as external research agency partners — to identify where manual research processes create drag and define product solutions that scale.
  • Architect the system that connects survey instruments to operational data — media delivery logs, audience segment behavior, earned media signals, and programmatic outcomes — to explain why survey results move, not merely that they moved.
  • Evaluate and leverage AI/ML tools, large language models, and agentic frameworks to accelerate research workflows, improve analytical depth, and reduce dependency on manual vendor processes.
  • Define technical requirements — including survey instrument APIs, data integrations, attribution frameworks, and cloud architecture — and articulate when a new technology is needed (and when it is not).
  • Manage external research agency partnerships end-to-end, owning the long-term build-vs-buy roadmap for which measurement capabilities remain outsourced versus built internally.
  • Be accountable for measurement product quality, methodological rigor, research operations uptime, and strategic relevance.

A day in the life

You will define product strategy and own the full lifecycle for a portfolio of measurement products — from survey instrument design through deployment of scalable research infrastructure. You'll build audience segmentation methodology that determines who belongs in the persuasion target and how to reach them through paid channels. You'll run your own crosstabs and statistical tests against weighted survey data, translating findings into recommendations that reallocate spend or adjust targeting. You'll define the operational handoff between campaign execution and measurement systems. You'll evaluate emerging AI capabilities for automating research workflows with agency vendors. You'll navigate a volatile environment where public affairs issues shift faster than annual research cycles accommodate — adapting methodology on the fly.

We build marketing plans that persuade our core audiences through best-in-class media tactics and measurement methodology that enables us to optimize towards the principles and platforms that achieve real-world outcomes at the expense of those that don't. Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
