Product Manager II — Customer Data Platform & Marketing Technology (Hybrid - Seattle)
About the role
This role is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, responsible for the products and integrations that connect customer data to the channels marketers use to reach customers. You will support and evolve Nordstrom’s Customer Data Platform (CDP), deep linking capabilities, and marketing feed connections that power personalization, attribution, and customer engagement across Nordstrom's ecosystem, including paid media. The mission is to deliver reliable, well-governed data infrastructure so every customer touchpoint is timely, accurate, and personalized.
You will plan the roadmap, prioritize the backlog, lead product discovery, and align stakeholders across Marketing teams, Customer Outreach, Engineering, and Analytics. The ideal candidate is deeply curious, comfortable with technical detail, and energized by using AI tools to explore data and prototype ideas alongside Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Nordstrom’s Customer Data Platform (CDP) provider and deep linking vendor, owning day-to-day vendor relationships, monthly business reviews, escalations, contract renewals, and roadmap alignment.
- Own the CDP roadmap, including onboarding additional customer data sources, improving data quality and enrichment, and delivering platform enhancements that expand marketers’ capabilities.
- Drive AI Agent enablement within the CDP by partnering with Engineering and Marketing teams to expand agent access, define access controls, and identify new use cases for AI-assisted data onboarding, analysis, and journey support.
- Support the product feed connection into the marketing feed management platform, ensuring data completeness, timeliness, and accuracy in collaboration with marketing enablement teams.
- Partner closely with marketing teams to translate campaign and marketer needs into clear requirements and prioritize the backlog and quarterly plan with Engineering leadership.
- Define, measure, and monitor KPIs for CDP and integration health—including data quality, latency, match rates, and feed accuracy—and drive root cause analyses.
- Use AI tools to explore data, prototype workflows, build internal tools or proofs of concept, and communicate technical concepts effectively with Engineering.
- Partner with Analytics and Engineering across the product lifecycle—from feature design through testing and launch—writing clear requirements and ensuring objectives, scope, and data integrity are maintained.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience in a technology-driven environment, or relevant experience in a related technical or business role, ideally with accountability for data platforms, integration, or marketing technology products.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline; advanced degree a plus.
- Working knowledge of customer data platforms (e.g., Treasure AI, Segment, Adobe) including audience segmentation, activation, and marketing feed management.
- Interest in AI agent enablement for data platforms, including how AI agents access customer data and accelerate data onboarding, insight generation, and journey design.
- Strong technical acumen and understanding of software development principles, data pipelines, and APIs, with hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for prototyping and exploration.
- Experience managing vendor or partner relationships, including business reviews, escalations, and contract renewals.
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Engineering, and Analytics teams to translate business needs into prioritized technical requirements.
- Strong communication and judgment to define improvement opportunities, translate complex technical concepts, and navigate ambiguity.
