Product Manager - FMS and Automation
About the role
The Product Manager is responsible for defining product vision and roadmap aligned with market needs, feasibility, and compliance. They prioritize features based on customer value and business impact, analyze global markets, customer needs, competitors, and trends, and act as the go-to for product, pricing, and positioning insights. They connect cross-functional teams to turn customer needs into clear technical requirements, support development and ensure solutions are feasible and well understood, adapt products for international markets and manage certifications, enable regional sales teams with product expertise, lead product launches and manage the full lifecycle with continuous improvement, and act as the voice of the customer and key stakeholder contact. They drive business performance through pricing, KPIs, and lifecycle profitability.
Responsibilities

- Prioritizes features based on customer value and business impact
- Analyzes global markets, customer needs, competitors, and trends
- Acts as the go-to for product, pricing, and positioning insights
- Connects cross-functional teams to turn customer needs into clear technical requirements
- Supports development and ensures solutions are feasible and well understood
- Adapts products for international markets and manages certifications
- Enables regional sales teams with product expertise
- Led product launches and manages the full lifecycle with continuous improvement
- Acts as the voice of the customer and key stakeholder contact
- Drives business performance through pricing, KPIs, and lifecycle profitability
Requirements
- 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally in a technical or industrial setting
- 3-5 years of automation experience in an industrial environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Industrial Engineering, MBA a plus
- Background in mechanical engineering, automation, or plant engineering
- Food processing or related industry experience preferred
- Familiar with global markets and regulations (CE, UL, FDA, ISO, HACCP)
- Proven cross-functional collaboration (sales, engineering, marketing, service)
- Strong technical aptitude for complex products
- Experience with product requirements, roadmaps, and PLM tools
- Fluent in English; other languages, especially German a plus
- Knowledge of compliance and food safety standards
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Customer-focused, hands-on, and open to international travel

Pay
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications. $110,000-$120,000 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan, based on company and/or individual performance.
