About the role

We’re hiring a Product Manager to own Digifactory OS, the proprietary software platform that powers our digitization facility. Digifactory is our production operation. Every day, thousands of irreplaceable photos, tapes, film reels, audio recordings, and other family artifacts move through hundreds of workstations as they’re carefully transformed into digital memories.

  • Partner with Product to design, build, and ship software that powers our production facility.
  • Work closely with Operations to identify bottlenecks and turn them into software solutions.
  • Balance customer impact, operational efficiency, and engineering investment when making product decisions.
  • Expand what we digitize by working alongside our R&D team to bring new digitization technologies into production.
  • Improve factory performance by increasing production capacity through better software, automating repetitive workflows, improving quality assurance using software and AI, reducing friction for production operators, improving production visibility, reporting, and operational analytics, and continuously optimizing how work moves through the factory.
  • Improve the customer experience by improving systems that keep customers informed throughout the digitization process, making order tracking, production updates, and delivery expectations clearer and more transparent, and ensuring Digifactory OS integrates seamlessly with Legacybox.com, Shopify, our customer applications, and our internal business systems.

Requirements

  • Experience managing software products or complex operational systems.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering teams.
  • Strong product judgment and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex operational workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organized without becoming bureaucratic.
  • Curious about AI, automation, and process improvement.
  • Comfortable spending time on the production floor learning how the work actually happens.
  • Bias toward ownership, execution, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Nice to have: Manufacturing or factory software, warehouse management or logistics systems, ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, AI and automation workflows, computer vision or machine learning, robotics or industrial automation, systems integration and APIs, startup or high-growth technology environments.

Skills

  • Curiosity about AI, automation, and process improvement.
  • Comfortable spending time on the production floor learning how the work actually happens.
  • Bias toward ownership, execution, and continuous improvement.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Competitive PTO
  • Professional development budget
  • Equipment you need to do your best work
  • Free Legacybox digitization service for your own family memories

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience.

Schedule

This role is based in Chattanooga because the product lives in the factory. The best ideas come from standing next to operators, watching production flow, understanding bottlenecks firsthand, and seeing the impact of your work in real time.
