Summary Of Position

The Program Manager – Data Center Power Systems independently manages the full lifecycle of large-scale data center power infrastructure programs for hyperscale data center environments. This role owns program outcomes from concept through deployment, with direct accountability for schedule, budget, technical execution, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Own and manage the complete lifecycle of large-scale data center power system programs from contract award through final customer acceptance
  • Develop, baseline, and maintain integrated program schedules, budgets, and resource plans with full accountability for program performance
  • Lead program planning meetings, production reviews, and executive-level status reporting independently
  • Identify, assess, and drive resolution of program risks, schedule impacts, and operational bottlenecks without escalation to senior leadership
  • Manage program documentation, action-item tracking, and configuration control across all workstreams
  • Execute scope, schedule, and cost change management processes, including formal change order administration
  • Lead coordination of all engineering activities related to UPS systems, lithium-ion battery systems, electrical distribution, HVAC, outdoor-rated enclosures, and monitoring/control systems
  • Own technical review and approval of one-line drawings, electrical schematics, mechanical layouts, structural integration concepts, and thermal management strategies
  • Chair design reviews and manufacturing readiness assessments; make binding technical decisions on behalf of the program
  • Manage engineering change processes and ensure all design changes are assessed for cost, schedule, and compliance impact
  • Independently analyze, design, and implement systems solutions using CAD, ERP/MRP systems, CMDB, and enterprise project management platforms
  • Apply advanced knowledge of SCADA, BMS, EMS, and computer-based tools to configure and validate power systems monitoring and data acquisition applications
  • Exercise independent judgment in the development and integration of firmware configurations, PLC/HMI programming, and network protocols (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP)

Work Environment

This position is based in a professional office setting and regularly utilizes workplace technology, including computers, smartphones, multifunction printers, cloud-based filing systems, and collaboration tools.

Daily tasks include consistent use of computers and standard office technology such as keyboards, printers, and multifunction devices. The role also involves transporting equipment boxes weighing up to 25 pounds within the building and to other offsite locations as needed for project support.

Physical Demands

The employee regularly engages in verbal and written communication with colleagues and clients to address project-related inquiries and must be able to convey accurate information clearly and efficiently. The position involves remaining seated at a workstation for approximately 75% of the time, with occasional movement throughout the office to access equipment, supplies, and shared resources.
