Product Manager - Construction Operations
About the role
The Construction Operations Product Manager (PrM) acts as the business-side partner of McGough's Construction Operations digital ecosystem, ensuring technology effectively supports construction processes across project planning, document management, preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, safety, quality, execution, field operations, BIM/VDC, and closeout. The PrM partners with Construction Operations leadership, project teams, IT/IS, Business Analysts, Application Specialists, Program Management, and peer PrMs to define, prioritize, deliver, and continuously improve digital capabilities. The PrM owns the roadmap and business outcomes for Construction Operations applications and represents Operations when workflows intersect with Financials, Marketing and Communications, Business Intelligence, or Enterprise Applications. A key responsibility is understanding how work is actually performed and the digital systems need to support. The PrM engages directly with project teams to identify system friction, workarounds, adoption challenges, and emerging needs, distinguishing between process, technology, configuration, integration, training, and change-management issues. Business leaders define the process and desired outcomes; the PrM translates that vision into product strategy, roadmap priorities, requirements, enablement, and measurable digital improvements.
