Product Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering/Technical, Business, Criminal Justice or related discipline or equivalent experience required.
• At least three (3) years’ experience in product engineering or product management in computer or software markets.
• At least five (5) years’ experience working with Company hardware and software products preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle required for travel to customer sites and conferences.
• Able to receive client’s approval to work on contract required.
• United States citizenship required.
• Must live in the United States 3 of the last 5 years (military service and study abroad accepted).

Responsibilities

• Engages cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of software, hardware and service products from the design process to customer delivery.
• Oversight of all product improvements throughout the product life cycle.
• Ensures robust qualification criteria is met through each stage of the product life cycle.
• Creates, obtains approval for, and maintains a strategic product road map for each assigned product.
• Researches, evaluates and manages the needs of all product end users, ensuring that evolving industry needs are being anticipated and met.
• Develops and manages product plans, in conjunction with software and hardware development staff, including review of schedules.
• Tracks and regularly reports to appropriate departments the Company’s progress toward meeting requirements of product development plans.
• Participates in product development and manufacturing meetings as needed.
• Provides a single point of contact to be the company’s subject matter expertise for assigned products/projects.
• Monitors product performance and leads a team that prioritizes which performance issues need to be addressed based on findings.
• Mentors junior team members, product owners, on an ongoing basis.
• Testsifies as an expert witness on behalf of the Company as needed.
