Product Manager
About the role
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for a SaaS environment in Knoxville, Tennessee. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can connect customer needs, market insight, and business priorities to shape a clear product direction. The role works closely with cross-functional partners to guide roadmap decisions, improve user value, and support sustainable growth through data-informed product leadership.
Responsibilities
- Shape product direction by aligning long-range vision with company goals, customer input, competitive findings, and shifts in the market.
- Build and maintain a prioritized product roadmap that balances technical considerations, user expectations, and commercial objectives.
- Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer-facing teams to drive coordinated execution and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Turn business needs and user problems into clearly documented product requirements, feature definitions, and practical development priorities.
- Establish success measures for product initiatives and use performance data, customer feedback, and usage trends to refine the product experience.
- Present progress, priorities, and strategic recommendations to leadership and internal stakeholders with clarity and consistency.
- Serve as a knowledgeable product resource for go-to-market, sales, and customer success teams by offering guidance on capabilities and value positioning.
- Capture and coordinate the efforts of business analysts, UX contributors, and related team members to improve product delivery and support operational efficiency.
- Partner with technical teams on product evolution involving legacy system considerations and cloud-based solutions where needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Product Management or a similar role within a SaaS organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of Agile delivery methods, Scrum practices, and common product management tools such as Jira, spreadsheets, and bug tracking platforms.
- Ability to translate technical concepts and product decisions into clear business impact for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset with experience using metrics and customer insights to guide prioritization and product improvement.
- Demonstrated success collaborating across functions and influencing teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Customer-focused and strategic approach to building products, with an interest in innovation, SMB needs, and go-to-market effectiveness.
- Self-directed leadership style with the ability to organize work, motivate contributors, and deliver results in a dynamic setting.
