Responsibilities
- Management of production timelines, reviewing reports and recommending solutions to exceptions
- Work with Design and Technical Services teams to develop production ready samples for quarterly design presentations
- Work closely with all vendors and agent offices to ensure that monthly production capacity is utilized and recommend appropriate action when issues arise
- Manage placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement and action plan for chase
- Oversee, maintain and report cost, delivery and quality metrics and KPIs for finished goods
- Manage any required fabric reservation; Confirm fabric and trim with factories
- Cook and lead weekly production meetings with factories and agents
- Monitor production status of all programs by season
- Track shipments from vendor to distribution center
- Support costing process by creating and distributing packages, issuing spreadsheets for tracking and conducting cost negotiation
- Analyze test, quality, delivery and cost reports, make recommendations and communicate exceptions to management and vendors
- Elevate and communicate high risk potential order problems and issues as appropriate
- Develop relationships with mentors, peers, and all Productions channels
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in apparel production management
- Experience managing “Speed to market”/fast track orders from inception is a plus
- Knowledge/understanding of fabrics and different garment wash processes that help problem solve production issues
- Strong costing and negotiation skills a plus
- Proficient: Microsoft Office, Full circle, PLM a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates proactive problem solving skills
- Create and maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals
- Good people management/delegation skills and able to influence others
- Travel may be required, based on business needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
- Ability to reach at or below shoulder level
- Ability to carry equipment, move boxes/samples, etc.
