Product Manager

About the role

Crosby is a law firm focused on integrating artificial intelligence into legal work to enhance efficiency and quality. Founded by Ryan and John, the company works closely with clients like Cursor, Ramp, and Cognition to streamline their contract review processes. The ideal candidate will lead the development of Crosby’s AI redlining system, a tool used by lawyers to review contracts.

Responsibilities

• Drive product direction and vision for Crosby’s AI redlining system.
• Own the product roadmap and ensure its successful scaling across all contract types.
• Design and operate the evaluation infrastructure to measure the effectiveness of the redlining product.
• Partner deeply with Crosby’s legal team to understand what constitutes high-quality work and identify areas for automation.
• Define and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide product development and ensure continuous improvement.
• Champion speed and agility, moving quickly under uncertainty and iterating based on feedback.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, particularly in AI/ML-powered products.
• Experience building and evaluating AI/ML systems, including understanding model behavior and making trade-offs between different architectures.
• A background in legal contracts and review workflows, gained through personal experience or extensive research.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and able to make quick decisions.
• Proven success in early-stage startups, demonstrating ability to navigate challenges and achieve goals.
• Technical fluency in understanding and engaging with engineering teams on product architecture, agent design, and evaluation infrastructure.
• Experience building AI/ML-powered products in production, ideally within a legal context.
• Background in shaping AI products with domain experts, such as in legal, medical, financial, or scientific fields.

• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable product features.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with legal teams and engineering teams.
• Experience with data analysis and metrics-driven decision-making.

Pay

The US pay range for this position is $200K - $260K. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Crosby operates in New York City, with a focus on in-person collaboration.
