About the Paid Leave Division

The Paid Leave Division is a new program launched in January 2026. It provides partial wage replacement to Minnesota workers who are out of work due to a qualifying condition, such as a severe health condition or caregiving needs. The division is committed to building a user-friendly program that meets the needs of both workers and employers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the product roadmap for your area.
• Generate detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
• Lead prioritization for your backlog and facilitate discussions with leadership.
• Collaborate with Design, Customer Engagement, Legal, and Policy teams.
• Anticipate product issues and offer solutions.
• Define success metrics and measure the impact of the team’s work.
• Communicate product updates and roadmap to stakeholders, leadership, and partners.

Skills

• Determining and communicating the critical next steps needed to create and maintain momentum on a project.
• Building strong, positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Writing clear, complete user stories with acceptance criteria and supporting documentation.
• Prioritizing work and clearly communicating your prioritization strategy.
• Experience building a product from 0-1.
• Influencing without authority to drive alignment and buy-in.
