Job Responsibilities
- Identify market opportunities and define strategic plans for product categories, incorporating customer insights, competitive analysis, and industry trends to maximize profitable growth for assigned categories.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life, ensuring timely execution of product development, sourcing, and launch initiatives.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and product messaging.
- Collaborate with global sourcing teams and suppliers to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability. Manage excess and obsolete inventory plans.
- Partner with testing agencies to coordinate compliance and standards testing. Monitor and address customer complaints and quality issues.
- Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and market data to guide decision-making and forecasting.
- Act as a product advocate and work with stakeholders across Sales, Design, Production, and Operations to align product initiatives with business goals.
- Collaborate with Marketing on Voice of Customer (VoC) research, attend industry trade shows, and support field sales activities to gather market feedback and promote product adoption.
Core Skills/Competency Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Product Management, preferably within an industrial or PPE-related business.
- Proven ability to use financial principles, market dynamics, and business strategies to drive product profitability and sustainable growth in an industrial business.
- Collaborative mindset with a history of working with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operational stakeholders to create solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); data entry skills a plus.
- Able to multitask, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
