Product Loading Technician

Normal work schedule: Variable days and hours, established and adjusted as needed by operations and management.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment (pumps, pneumatic systems) to unload product from railcars.
• Ensure proper connection and disconnection of unloading equipment to railcars.
• Inspect railcars for safety and cleanliness before and after unloading.
• Perform minor maintenance or adjustments on unloading equipment as required.
• Monitor quality during unloading to meet company standards; document and report discrepancies or contamination.
• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and spills.
• Comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies regarding safety and handling.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely unloading schedules.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding operational issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate records of unloaded quantities, railcar IDs, and related documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in industrial or warehouse operations, particularly with railcar unloading, is a plus.
• Basic mechanical skills for operating and maintaining unloading equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb railcars, and work in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor and indoor environments, often exposed to varying weather conditions.
• May require standing, bending, climbing, and lifting for extended periods.
• Exposure to loud equipment noise; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
