Product Line Specialist

About the role

At JBT Marel, our Product Line Specialist plays a crucial role in transforming the future of food by providing technical assistance and conducting research, education, and support to customers and JBT Marel staff. Reporting to the Director of Product Line, you will support sales efforts, maintain documentation, collect and analyze market trends, and provide training and support for various product lines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application support to customers, Account Managers, and Commercial teams.
• Support sales efforts by preparing accurate and compliant equipment quotations.
• Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation of sales opportunities, customer interactions, and account activities in designated systems.
• Collect, analyze, and share market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights with JBT Marel stakeholders.
• Conduct live equipment demonstrations, trials, and customer education sessions at customer sites or the JBT Marel Sandusky Food Processing and Technology Training Center.
• Diagnose and resolve application- and process-related technical issues at customer facilities.
• Prepare and submit detailed test, application, and performance reports for customers and our teams promptly.
• Support the research and development of new applications, processes, and equipment enhancements through production simulations, testing, and field evaluations.
• Develop and deliver value-added customer training programs to enhance product knowledge and application effectiveness.
• Participate in test installations and validate application performance, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
• Provide technical and application support to Account Managers and Commercial teams throughout the organization.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Service teams to ensure customer needs are effectively translated into product and application solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in food or meat science.
• High degree of creativity, independent thinking, and resourcefulness to translate customer needs into solutions.
• 1-3 years' technical and commercial experience in the meat industry.
• Experience in a meat lab, internship in meat industry, or a master's degree in Meat Science will satisfy the experience requirement.
• You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $75,000-$90,000 annually. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.

Schedule

Travel can be up to 80% of the time and not restricted to the North American Region.
