About the role
This role is a full time, direct-hire position with a hybrid work schedule of 4 days/week on-site in Solon, OH.
Responsibilities
- Own full global P&L responsibility, with accountability for revenue, margin, portfolio health, and long-term growth.
- Lead end-to-end product line strategy, including product lifecycle management (PLM), portfolio simplification, SKU rationalization, and prioritization across a vast global catalog.
- Partner closely with engineering, operations, sourcing, and supply chain leaders to influence capital allocation, investment priorities, cost structure, capacity decisions, and execution tradeoffs.
- Drive pricing strategy across regions in collaboration with sales and pricing teams, using analytics to improve margin, consistency, and governance.
- Guide product roadmaps across sustaining engineering, targeted innovation, new product development, and go-to-market (GTM) execution, balancing near-term performance with longer-term competitiveness.
- Identify and evaluate adjacent markets and product opportunities within the electrical pathway, collaborating with internal engineering and manufacturing capabilities to expand the portfolio over time.
- Serve as the senior business and product leader for product portfolio, influencing senior leadership and contributing to long-term, enterprise-level goal setting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of Product Managers responsible for major segments of the global business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.) degree in engineering, business, or an equivalent area.
- 12+ years of experience in engineering and/or product roles, with demonstrated growth in scope or accountability, and direct responsibility for physical, electro-mechanical, or hardware-enabled products within product management, product leadership, or closely related commercial product roles.
- Proven P&L ownership or accountability for a product line or business, including pricing and profitability responsibility.
- Proven direct people management experience, including an ability to guide and mentor a team of global Product Managers.
- Strong analytical capability and experience applying data to pricing, portfolio simplification, and investment decisions; advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence—working effectively across engineering, operations, supply chain, sales, and marketing in an interconnected organizational environment.
- Background in electrical, industrial, or adjacent engineered products, including industries where products are sold through distribution channels is highly valued.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally, for business-related needs.
