Job Responsibilities
- Visually inspect the parts in the hopper.
- Notify the leader of any defects or contamination.
- Weigh count the good parts on the scale as they are being placed into shipping cartons; seal the cartons with the taping machine.
- Put bar-code labels on each carton.
- Place the sealed cartons on the available pallet and wrap the completed pallet.
- Load freight for shipments per bill of lading
- Check in and out parcels from U.P.S and prepare for shipment
- Write shipping tickets.
- Direct the forklift driver to place the wrapped pallet into its proper stock location.
- Operate the forklift truck, if qualified, as needed to "feed" the tumbler, packaging lines, storage racks, etc.
- Sort parts when necessary while packaging.
- Keep machinery, equipment, and surrounding area in a clean condition.
- Learn how to operate the tumbler.
Job Requirements
- 18+ years old
- Must have Fork Truck Experience
- Must have math skills
- Must have reading skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to multi-task & work in a team warehouse environment
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends
