Product Functional Test Technology Engineer
About the role
We are looking for a talented JTC Test Engineer to join our team in Jamestown, NY. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and execute engine and vehicle component testing programs that drive heavy-duty product development and validation. You will own testing end to end — from test planning and hardware procurement through test article build, execution, data analysis, and post-test closure — while ensuring every phase meets established engineering procedures, standards, and safety requirements. Success in this role calls for a strong grounding in diesel engine performance fundamentals and the confidence to troubleshoot complex issues spanning engines, test systems, instrumentation, controls, and facility infrastructure. Working alongside engineering teams, technical specialists, and test operations personnel, you will lead investigations, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions that keep testing safe, efficient, and on schedule. Familiarity with Cyflex, Calterm, and data acquisition systems will allow you to validate data quality quickly and deliver CTRs, teardown reviews, and technical recommendations that engineering can act on.
