The company is seeking a PRODUCT FUNCTIONAL TEST MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN – LEVEL IV to join the team in Cookeville, TN (onsite). Relocation assistance is available to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and prepare articles for testing and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Perform tests in accordance with set test methods and collaborate with engineering functions to develop and execute testing.
• Drive continuous improvement in test setup and testing methods; aid in analysis of test data.
• Work with performance engineers to develop measurement techniques; manage and lead test system and test article issue resolution process; conduct system teardown consensus reviews, including data analysis, test and teardown reports.
• Participate in and lead Failure Mode Effects Analysis; perform data analysis, document system tests and calibration reviews in technical reports; present test findings; prepare problem‑resolution information for Failure Incident Reporting Group meetings; participate in problem‑solving teams.
• Coordinate programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.
• Participate in the maintenance of quality procedures.
• Develop and conduct training programs.
• Demonstrate adaptability to changing work needs, initiate and lead improvement projects, and undertake new tasks as they arise.
• Manage own work priorities to meet demands; participate in self‑ and team‑audits and corrective actions; engage in continuous learning.
• Complete diesel‑fuel filtration testing, both industry‑standard and non‑standard, with detailed observation.
• Collect test data, post‑process into reports and presentations.
• Conduct data quality reviews and collaborate with Test Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Document and track lab workflow and testing completed.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot test equipment.
• Support development of non‑standard test methods.
• Develop test systems and integrate instrumentation and automation.
• Produce strong documentation throughout testing activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field (required).
• Regionally applicable certification or two‑year Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study (preferred).
• May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Pay

Base salary range: $66,535 to $83,165 per year (good‑faith estimate; final offer will consider qualifications and experience).
