Description
The Product Estimator is responsible for estimating cost and feasibility to customer specific solutions that are not in the standard product offering. Primary responsibilities will include estimating solutions per customer specifications, and supporting the order through production, and providing customers with all required documentation. Focus: Specials and Custom Product Business
Functional Touchpoints: Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Sales, Customer Service, Quality.
This position reports to the Director of Global Product line. This role is onsite and is based in Sparks, Nevada.
Scope of Position
This position assumes responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Director of Global Product Line or Company management.
Accountabilities
- Technical evaluation & proposal
- Cost accuracy/estimations
- Sales & Customer service support
- Liaison between design, operations, sales, and product management
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years of successful experience in estimating with a strong technical background
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ERP systems
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SolidWorks
- Experience in Dynamics 365
Physical Requirements
- Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
- Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.

- Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
