Product Engineering Manager | SR WVB
About the role
The Product Engineering Manager (PEM) oversees the development and production of specific products or groups of products, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards. They also manage the transition from development to production and provide ongoing support post-release.
Responsibilities
- Interface with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, reliability, and marketing teams to guide product development and production.
- Formulate and execute long-term plans for cost and profit control.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operations within the function.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with new package design and development.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, automotive industry requirements, and production manufacturing processes.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively across different functions.
- Initiative and drive for results.
- Strong time management skills for on-time project delivery.
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include experience with automotive industry requirements and production manufacturing processes.
Skills
Strong technical skills in product engineering, leadership, and strategic planning are essential. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is beneficial.
