Location: Fairfield, OhioDuration: January 2027-July 2027Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week Work Model: Hybrid (On-Site Preferred) What You’ll Do As a Product Engineering Co-Op a typical week might include: Create and revise 3D models and technical drawings for product-specific parts, assemblies, and modular data center applications under the supervision of experienced engineers. Support the development of reusable product content and General Subassemblies by assisting with component selection, assembly structure, BOM inputs, and manufacturing-readiness reviews. Assist with Creo-to-PDM workflows, including model organization, CAD-to-part association checks, technical data verification, and identification of missing or inconsistent product information. Collaborate with Product Engineers, Product Application Engineers, Product Data Engineers, Project Engineers, and Design Engineers to understand project requirements, evaluate design options, and present technical recommendations. Support continuous improvement by testing modeling templates and workflows, documenting lessons learned, and contributing to engineering best-practice guides and process documentation. All co-op-created models, drawings, product data, and technical documentation will be reviewed and approved by the accountable engineer or process owner before controlled release or production use. Who You’ll Work With You’ll report to an Engineering Systems Manager and collaborate closely with Project Engineers, SMEs, Data Engineers, and Design Engineers. You’ll also connect with interns across NAM through our intern community and events. What We’re Looking For Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. Interest in 3D modeling, product development, modular construction, manufacturing, engineering data, or digital engineering workflows. Willingness to learn new software tools, engineering processes, and product-development workflows. Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills. A proactive mindset and interest in making measurable improvements to products and engineering processes. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD $23.00-$27.50 per hour. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
