You’ll Support Meaningful Work

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop complex system products involving multiple materials and processes
• Designing and engineering architectural solutions such as glass walls, solid walls, and screens
• Applying mechanical engineering principles and material science knowledge to product development
• Creating and defining performance requirements on engineering drawings
• Managing and prioritizing multiple ongoing projects to meet deadlines
• Prototyping and testing concepts using various methods to validate design decisions
• Building strong connections by seeking input and fostering open dialogue across departments
• Demonstrating curiosity and exploring new perspectives to solve tough problems
• Driving initiatives to successful completion with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3+ years of work experience in product development within an engineering discipline
• Experience creating and defining performance requirements on engineering drawings
• Ability to apply mechanical engineering principles and knowledge of material science, manufacturing processes, and tools in product engineering
• Strong understanding of tolerance analysis

• Proficiency in Creo and/or Windchill
• Strong verbal communication and analytical skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving
• Ability to use various methods and techniques in solving technical challenges

Pay

The starting annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $95,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
