Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Understand internal and external customer design requirements.
• Create design.
• Communicate design.
• Validate design.
• Launch product.
• Utilize PRP to guide Launch Process.
• Capture lessons learned.
• Develop tactical plans to meet deliverables.
• Deliver design within engineering budget and BOM cost targets.
• Communicate effectively both internally and externally.
• Apply structured problem-solving methods for issue resolution.
• Manage program risk.

Requirements

• Required Education Level: Bachelor's Level Degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent degree in a technical field (manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, materials science, industrial & operations, etc.). Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
• 1–3 Minimum Years of relevant experience in automotive interiors.
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
• Language Required: English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking).

Preferred qualifications

• Experience leading programs with full engineering responsibility.
• Experience in injection molded products preferred.
• Experience in cut, saw and wrap designs.
• Experience in mechanisms preferred – buttons, door openers, glove box, levers.
• Siemens TeamCenter PLM experience.
• CATIA and NX experience.
• Good PC-Skills (Word, Excel, MS Project).
