This role involves establishing and developing a water-cooled chiller product development technical team, improving technical capabilities, and driving innovation in alignment with Johnson Controls’ long-term product development plans.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Engineering Manager to set annual work goals and supervise their implementation.
- Assist the Water-Cooled product management department in creating and executing product development plans and roadmaps.
- Organize and lead water-cooled product development and innovation in accordance with Johnson Controls’ processes, ensuring timely introduction of new products to meet market needs.
- Coordinate the progress and resources of water-cooled product development projects, including global initiatives.
- Conduct technical reviews for non-standard contract designs and detailed designs for non-standard orders, ensuring timely delivery of technical documents.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to analyze product opportunities in production and use, and organize continuous improvement (CI), cost reduction (CR), and value analysis/value engineering (VAVE) initiatives.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing and maintenance services, including timely delivery of product-related technical documents and troubleshooting.
- Uphold the company’s ethics policy, systems, and quality requirements.
- Promote corporate culture within the department and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health management regulations.
- Identify and rectify environmental factors and hazards associated with the role, and contribute to the company’s safety and sustainability objectives.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field.
- More than 5 years of experience in water-cooled chiller design and development.
Skills
- Familiarity with water conditioning and refrigeration system development, with at least five years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of domestic and international technical standards for related products.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to leverage resources effectively.
