About the role

As a Product Engineer at the John Deere SouthEast Engineering Center in Augusta, GA, you will drive vehicle design for the Compact Utility business using the Product Delivery Process (PDP) and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies. This onsite role involves strategy, design, and integration of vehicle components, collaboration with cross-functional program teams, and leadership in factory support and customer problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategy, design, and integration of vehicle components.
• Collaborate with vehicle program teams to ensure seamless product development.
• Lead efforts to support Compact Utility factories and resolve customer issues.
• Apply PDP and CI processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product design.
• 3+ years of experience executing PDP or CI processes.
• Proven ability to communicate and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Creo 3D modeling, PDM Windchill, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
• Compact Utility Tractor design experience is a plus.
• Experience with systems engineering methodology.
• Hands-on experience with the operation and maintenance of off-road equipment.
