Position: Product Engineer
Location: Mesquite, TX – Fully Onsite
FLSA Classification: Exempt

Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical specifications to ensure designed performance aligns with customer needs.
• Create and/or revise technical documents and design drafts at the request of customers.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting solutions for our customers.

Project and Process Support

• Provide solutions and pricing for special parts and products.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and end operations, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Communicate project status and updates clearly through both written and verbal means.

Research and Development

• Develop product ideas based on customer audience interests.
• Identify customer problems and create functional prototypes offering a solution.
• Research new technologies, industry trends, and competitors.
• Participate in innovative efforts related to product development and improvement.

Cross-Department Collaboration and Communication

• Provide product support and analysis.
• Analyze feasibility, cost, and return on investment for product ideas.
• Work with production on manufacturing and testing of new products and materials.
• Provide input and technical support as requested by management.
• Ensure clear and effective communication between engineering, sales, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
• 1–2 years of experience in product or system engineering preferred
• CAD experience required; SolidWorks strongly preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows OS including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative and passionate about creating solutions to customer problems
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience

• Experience with molding processes and polyurethane
• 3D printing
• CNC Lathe Programming Capabilities
• Ability to read and write in Mandarin
