Product Engineer

Overview Hooked is hiring a Product Engineer to build features end-to-end across the calling workspace and AI assistant. You will own meaningful slices of the product — from idea, through design, through ship — and work directly with founders, designers, and customers. This is a builder role for engineers who care about the product as much as the code. What You'll Do Ship features end-to-end across frontend, backend, and infrastructurePair with design to turn rough concepts into polished product surfacesMake calls on architecture, scope, and tradeoffsTalk to customers, watch usage, and use what you learn to drive what gets builtImprove developer ergonomics, observability, and reliability as you go What We're Looking For 4+ years building production web apps in a modern stackStrong with TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node, PostgresComfortable across the stack — UI, API, data model, and infraProduct taste — you can tell when something is good, and when it's almost goodBias to ship; comfortable making decisions with partial information Nice to Have Experience with telephony, real-time systems, or LLM-powered featuresFamiliarity with AWS, Vercel, or similar cloud infrastructureBackground working closely with design Why This Role Direct ownership over what gets built and howTight feedback loop with customers and leadershipFoundational role on a small, senior engineering team
