Product Engineer
About the role
The Project Engineer is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of technical/engineering projects. Project engineers are involved in various aspects of a project, including developing plans and schedules, coordinating projects, providing technical guidance and support, overseeing design and construction, collaborating with stakeholders, and communicating updates and risks. They manage budgets and resources, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, conduct quality control, manage risks, and maintain project documentation and reports.
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans and schedules: Create detailed timelines and work breakdowns to ensure projects stay on track and meet deadlines.
- Coordinate project activities: Direct and manage project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support: Apply engineering principles to address technical challenges and ensure project feasibility and quality.
- Ensure understanding and experience with safety requirements; provide training and oversight to others within or outside the department as needed.
- Work effectively in a team-based environment to accomplish company goals and identify and resolve problems.
- Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks while following verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Carry out departmental goals consistent with corporate strategic goals and comply with all company rules, safety policies, and procedures.
- Act as a self-starter, capable of working independently or with others as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Business-related computer literacy, analytical problem-solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Multi-task-oriented with strong ability to effectively present information.
- Dynamic team player who can think outside the box and produce results.
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one or in group situations with customers, industry groups, and co-workers via verbal presentations, conversations, telephone, and email.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding while carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and to create and interpret documents correctly.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations.
